YOUTH MINISTRY
Here are the youths reporting to the congregation what a wonderful and spiritual time they had at Camp Woodleaf (Challenge California) and Camp Mokule'ia (North Shore, Oahu, Hawaii). Sounds like they all had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back next year. Well, looking at the next three pictures I can see why......

SENIOR MINISTRY
Our seniors are very active. Amy Aihara and Roxann Ikeda have planned many activities for the year. The latest was an excursion where they visted the Kamuela Cherry Blossom Festival. They were so many displays, vendors and demonstrations going on. Maybe Pastor Lloyd will again volunteer to be the chauffeur. He gave the group a special detour to Honomu and offered them an opportunity to walk the town. |
Have you been to the 50's Highway Fountain in Laupahoehoe? Or been to the Laupahoehoe Train Museum? Well, the Senior Ministry did so in February. What a fun day it was. They discovered Elvis is alive. The fountain has a room dedicated to the King of Rock and Roll. Other rooms are filled with memorabilia of the 50's.

This is the train that ran from Paauilo to Hilo. That was a major mode of transportation in those days. What's so amazing is we had some seniors who actually rode the train. Hearing them tell stories of the train ride, you could tell it brought back fond memories. The history of the railroad as told by the curator was a very educational one. |
FEED THE HUNGRY MINISTRY
Heritage Christian Fellowship is proud to be part of the Feed the Hungry program. We are one of several alternating churches who feed the hungry at the Salvation Army facility every other month on Sundays. Linda Oyama and Sheri Kang do a terrific job in coordinating the preparation of the food and the manpower to serve. Our members glady sacrifice their Sunday afternoon to help serve. God bless all of you....... |
HULA MINISTRY
How fruitful practice can be. Our Hula Ministry practices every Thursday. Here you see the fruit of their effort as they perform at our Valentine's dinner. How gracefully they project the word of God, with their hand and body motions. |
This was a performance at one of our services on Sunday. Every movement of their hands and body is praising God. Thank you, ladies. |
